I want to thank you for checking out my website about New York. My name is Beverly and I am from the great state of Texas. I chose this website because like many people I hear a lot about New York City.

I may never make it to New York City, but I did see it from across the Hudson River when I went to see the Statue of Liberty. You are thinking about why I did not go to New York . The answer is simple, time did not  allow me to go nor did my finances.

New York City seems to be an interesting place for some of the so called “Rich and Famous” live there. I have heard about Broadway and Central Park. There are lots of the interesting places in movies. I get to see New York that way. Also through television shows like CSI New York, and the Law and Orders.

There are so many famous people that were born in the state of New York, football players, actors and actresses. Also, New York has a colorful background. Many people walked thru Ellis Island a hundred or more years ago. Some of those immigrants moved further to the west, but lots of them were happy to just stay put. These immigrants were from all over mostly Europe at that time. The Irish, the Germans, the Italians, the Jews and others stayed in New York. This gives New York a diverse background.

I can imagine staying in an elite hotel in New York City; riding in a limo down Broadway to one of the many theaters after a meal at an exquisite restaurant. I would be seeing the lights of Central Park and oh how about one of those carriage rides. My mind can just wonder. Just once to be able to do that would be many a persons dream.
