Legends of the New York Islanders

Dave Langevin was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on May 15, 1954. He played the position of defenseman as a professional ice hockey player, and was well known for his full-body checking. Before turning professional, he played for the University of Minnesota. He was drafted by the NHL Islanders in 1974, but chose to go with the Oilers of Edmonton, who were part of the World Hockey Association. He then went on to play for the Islanders and was with them while they won the Stanley Cup four times. After the Islanders, he also played for the North Star and Kings. After his retirement, he was a head coach in Idaho for one year and then went back to Minnesota, where he was a high school hockey coach.

Bert Leroy Marshall is a Canadian ice hockey professional who played the position of defenseman and developed an amazingly reliable shot-blocking ability. He was born on November 22, 1943. He was drafted by the Islanders in 1973 and he played for them until his retirement at the end of the 1978-1978 season. He did some minor league coaching and then NHL coaching. He then became a scout.

Kenneth Arlington Morrow was born in Flint, Michigan, on October 17, 1956, and was also a professional defenseman. Before becoming professional, he was on Team USA and the Ice Hockey World Championship in 1978. He also played on the gold medal winning U.S. Olympic hockey team. In 1976, he was drafted by the New York Islanders. While he was playing for the Islanders, they won the Stanley Cup four years straight. His career unfortunately did not last too long because of knee problems. He is a member of the United States Hockey Hall of Fame and is still with the Islanders in the scouting department.
