New York Knick Legends

In the New York Knicks' history they have only had two NBA championships, in 1970 and 1973. That does not mean that they have not had their fair share of great players during their long history. There are several Knick players that are among the fifty greatest players to have played the game.

In their history, they have had two of the best centers that have ever played in Willis Reed and Patrick Ewing, with Reed playing on both championship teams. Also on those championship teams with Reed were Walt Frazier at the point and forward/guard combination players Dave Debusshere and Bill Bradley, who is now known as Senator Bill Bradley. Another player that was there for the 1973 championship, but missed the one in 1970, was Earl “The Pearl” Monroe who, with Frazier, formed one of the best backcourts in basketball. One player that never really got all the credit he deserved was Bernard King, who was a prolific scorer and one of a handful of men to score 50 points in back-to-back games on back-to-back nights, both of which were on the road. A few of the other Knick greats were Allan Houston and John Starks, who, with Ewing, got the Knicks to the championship.

As you can see, the New York Knicks have had their fair share of legends that played for the franchise. The problem is, they can’t seem to get the players playing at enough of the same time to win more championships. After all, that’s where legends are made.
