In today's world, what we need are great leaders. With life and death hanging in the balance in some parts of the world, including our own, good leadership is a must. When the events of September 11th, 2001 happened, New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani stepped right up to the plate and took control to help keep a difficult situation run as smoothly as possible, which in turn helped save more lives. On that sad day, there were many great leaders that and helpers that worded so very hard to make a dark day as good as possible and most will always be nameless just people helping others in need true leaders.
When we talk about great leaders, we open the door to many different views of what greatness entails. There are many different types of leaders in our lives today. Leaders can come with different job descriptions like a spiritual leader or a someone that feeds the hungry. Someone that has been given a lot of credit these days is General Petraeus, for all the work he has done to help the stabilization of the Middle East, and to bring American soldiers home safely.
When we talk about about famous leaders, there is no way to leave out Martian Luther King Jr. He was inspirational to the cause of equality and freedom, and many people followed him. King stood for all that was good and did it with dignity. He tried to bring peace to all mankind.
