Heroes from September 11th

Many heroes lost their lives in the September 11th attack. This day is one that the world is sure to remember. Americans are very grateful for those who died in honor to save others. 346 people lost their lives that horrific day in 2001. The people that helped clean up the depressing site had to breathe in smoke and dust all day well working. The worst part of it all is the memories of not only the tragedy that occurred that day, but the memories of the body parts that they had come in contact with.

Kenny Haskell, does not claim to be a hero, if anything he does not want that title. Like most firefighters, Kenny agrees that they were not just doing the job. Losing two brothers that were also firefighters, Haskell was determined to find there bodies after the attack. Sadly only one was found. Steve Belson was a lifeguard as well as a firefighter. Belson was one of many who lost his life in the World Trade Center. Being the hero that he was on the job as well as off the job, he made a huge impression in people's lives. Therefore Beach 92 was renamed Bell’s Beach.

Jason Zucker never got the privilege of meeting his father Andrew Zucker, due to the terrorist attack on 9/11. Jason was born months after the attack, in which his father was killed. Andrew saved seven people, after surviving the tragedy they are only sorry that he did not live as well. 53 year old Lt. Martin Fullam was in the comfort of his own home on his day off when the towers were attacked. Fullam rushed over and gave his assistance, but then later had to get a lung transplant because of it. Martin has no regrets.
