Rudy Giuliani

Rudolph William Louis Giuliani was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 28, 1944. He is not only a businessman but an attorney and a politician who has run on the Independent, Democrat and Republican tickets. He states that he changed his views and that is why he changed political parties, but many believe that it was because he was offered jobs in different administrations and changed to that particular party.

Rudy attended Manhattan College and New York University Law School. He has been married and divorced twice and is now married to Judith Nathan. He has two children.

After Giuliani received his law degree he worked as a clerk for a US District Judge. After that he worked for the United State Attorney's Office and was in the Narcotics Unit. In 1975 during the Ford Administration, he became the Associate Deputy Attorney General.

Later he worked with a law firm. He later became the Associate Attorney General while Reagan was in office. Rudy resigned from this position and that same year he ran for mayor of New York City but lost that race. In 1993 he again ran and won. He was reelected in 1997 and was the mayor at the time of the attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001.

He decided to run for a vacant U.S. Senate seat in 1998 since he could not run for mayor again. He went up against Hillary Rodham Clinton. Before the election he withdrew from the race because of personal and health problems.

In November 2006, he announced his run for United States Presidency, but withdrew in January 2008.

At this time Rudy Giuliana states that he might run for political office again sometime in the future.
