New York is home to many highly recognized streets. When you hear streets like Broadway, Wall Street, and Fifth Avenue your mind conjures up images of the many places that are established on those streets.

Broadway goes back to the early settlement days. This was their primary path used by the Indians and settlers. This street travels north and south. Broadway is known to be the oldest New York thoroughfare and the heart of the American arts. Famous parades start in the lower part of Broadway. Juilliard School, Manhattan New York Temple of Latter-day Saints, and the Lincoln Center are located landmarks on Broadway’s intersections.

Wall Street, a famous financial district is found in Manhattan’s lower area, and is recognized as the initial New York Stock Exchange’s establishment. A number of headquarters for exchanges and U.S. stock remain in this financial section, frequently referenced as corporate America. Informal trading began in the 18th century near Wall Street’s buttonwood tree. Later an association trade agreement took place forming the New York Stock Exchange. On Wall Street, the Federal Hall’s balcony is where George Washington was sworn in as the first United Stated President.

Fifth Avenue is New York’s major shopping area. A great number of stores on Fifth Avenue bring in revenue surpassing $400 million. The Apple Store generates nearly $14 per second. The physical Apple Store is huge and made out of glass. Fulton Street’s is named after the engineer of the steam ship who was Robert Fulton. Fulton Street is situated in Manhattan's lower part.
