New York Knicks Legends

The greatest New York Knick legend is probably Patrick Ewing. He was the overall number one draft pick in the 1985 Draft. During his rookie year he was named to the All-Rookie Team as well as the 1986 Rookie of the Year. While with the Knicks, he was an 11 time All-Star. This included ten straight appearances between 1988 and 1997. He was also named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team. His number 33 was retired by the Knicks after his retirement. In 2008, he was elected into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Ewing is also the franchises all-time scoring leader.

Another Knick Legend is former point guard Walt Frazier. Frazier was drafted by the Knicks in 1967 with the drafts number five overall pick. During his ten years with the Knicks, he led the team to championships in 1970 and 1973. He was also named to seven All-Star teams. In 1975 he was named the All-Star Game MVP. When he left the Knicks he held several of the teams records. These records included most points, games, minutes, and assists among others.

Most of his records would end up being broken by Ewing; however, he still owns the record for most assists in franchise history. In 1979, the Knicks retired his number 10 jersey. He was also elected into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1987. One of Frazier's greatest achievement was being named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.
