New York Giants Legends

One of the legends of the New York Giants would be Rosey Brown, originally from Charlottesville, Virginia. After college at Morgan State University, he was drafted by the Giants in 1953. He spent his entire career with the Giants and was selected to play in the Pro Bowl nine times in his career. He retired in 1965 and then became the assistant defensive line coach for the Giants in 1966. After three years, he was named the offensive line coach. Roosevelt passed away on June 9, 2004.

Frank Gifford was a halfback who also played his entire career, from 1952 to 1964, with the New York Giants. While playing for the Giants, Frank was in five games for the NFL Championship and he was also in eight Pro Bowl games. In 1956, he was the MVP of the NFL and two years later he was Pro Bowl MVP. Gifford retired in 1964 and was selected to the Football Hall of Fame in July 1977. They also retired his No. 16 jersey. Since retiring he has done commentary for the NFL.

Lawrence Taylor played for the Giants from 1981 until 1993. He was a defensive player who has been said to be one of the best in history. He was selected for the Pro Bowl 10 times and was the NFL MVP in 1986. He was a member of the Super Bowl XXI and XXV champions. After his career with the Giants, they retired his No. 56 jersey. He was also elected to the Hall of Fame on his first ballot in 1999.
