Robert De Niro was born in New York on August 17, 1943. Both of his parents had an artistic background. He went to public schools until he was 13 and after that he went to private schools. The private schools started him in the direction of his career. When he was young he starred in a lot of off Broadway shows. His big break came when he met Brian De Palma.
De Palma cast him in his first acting appearance, as far as the movie scene goes. These days, De Niro is notoriously known for his method acting. He will actually train and study his character that he plays. He even went as far as learning and actually operating a cab for months for a role once. His style is unique and he can definitely play the “bad boy” roles.
That is not all that this amazing person is known for however, he also produces and directs as well. There is quite a colorful life that he has led and shared with a lot of people. He has an Italian, German, French, Irish and Dutch background. He is most known for the Italian side though. De Niro is also a family man. He has 4 sons, who are Elliot, Raphael, Julian Henry and Aaron Kendrick, the two latter are twins from in vitro fertilization by a surrogate mother.
He also has an adopted daughter from his first marriage. He is currently married to his second wife and currently lives in New York. He is also currently battling prostate cancer as well, however, this does not hold this man down, and he is hard at work on new projects to this day.
