One of the players for New York Rangers is Rodrigue Gabriel Gilbert. He became a professional ice hockey forward in the early 1980s, and because of his excellent performance, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1982. Gilbert was the first player in the history of the New York Rangers to have his number retired. Another popular legend player for the New York Rangers is Steve Vickers, who was name First Team League All-Star. Vickers only spent one season in the minor leagues and then became a Central Hockey League before he went to the New York Rangers.
